Welcome to the Tyrone Township official website. Tyrone Township is managed by a Board of Supervisors who are elected officials. The Township Auditors and Tax Collector positions are also elected officials. The remaining positions are appointed by the supervisors. In the event a position becomes vacant during the term of an elected official, the supervisors will appoint a qualified resident to fill the position until the next municipal election.
The township also has a Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board, Citizens Committee, Newsletter Committee and other individuals that support the township recycling collection. All of these positions are voluntary and are not compensated for their time.
All meetings are held at the Tyrone Township Municipal Building, 5280 Old Harrisburg Road.
