 “Merry & Bright” Holiday Lights Photo Contest. Participants can enter by submitting a photo of their home’s outdoor holiday light display on Met-Ed's Facebook page (  Finalists will be selected based on criteria such as creativity and number of lights.  Entries will be accepted November 27 to December 15. Finalists’ photos will be posted on Facebook for public voting from Monday, Dec. 18 to Friday, Dec. 22.  
Pennsylvania Master Naturalist Training - Spring 2018 for South Mountain Region 
In the spring of 2018, Pennsylvania Master Naturalist is once again partnering with the South Mountain Partnership and Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve to prepare citizens to become volunteer leaders in their communities through natural resource conservation education, citizen science, and stewardship.
Pennsylvania Master Naturalist is a citizen volunteer initiative with three key components: an initial 55-hour volunteer training, annual volunteer service, and continuing education in the natural sciences.  For more information or to register visit:

WEST NILE VIRUS FOUND - Positive mosquito samples for West Nile Virus have been found in Hamiltonban Township and other areas of Adams County.  Take steps to help prevent the spread such as removing standing water.  For more information visit the county website or state DEP website at

Hamiltonban Township Newsletters
Each year the Township Supervisors prepare an end-of-year Budget Message. The purpose of the Budget Message is to make the budgeting process more understandable to the general public, to recap accomplishments in the prior year and to explain the programs and initiatives that the Township Supervisors plan to accomplish in the coming year.  Newsletters for the past few years are available below.  For ​Budget Messages go to the home page and click on 2017 Budget.

Information that is distributed includes road closures, special notices, emergency notifications, budget messages and other similar information.
