Personal Property Sale

​The Adams County Sheriff’s Office Personal Property Services is responsible for processing, serving defendants and garnishments, making levy and conducting sales of personal property for Executions in Money Judgments. On average this department receives 30 requests per month. 

The Sheriff’s Office requires service forms to be completed for each defendant/garnishee to be served with a case and also requires a $200.00 advance deposit for each case. There are no regularly-scheduled Sale Dates; all sales are conducted on a case-by-case basis.

Personal Property Sale Notification:

All properties scheduled for sale are posted in the Adams County Courthouse Sheriff's Office and Magisterial District Judges Office and at the defendant's property at least six (6) days prior to the Sheriff's sale.
