Adams County is widely known for its rural landscape, including its productive farmlands and unique fruit belt, as well as its abundant natural resources, including forestland, streams and greenways. The Rural Resource Division has been charged with protecting and utilizing these landscapes and resources through sound land use planning tools.
The Division oversees initiatives which provide outreach and services supporting land preservation, recreation, and environmentally sustainable practice.
