Adams County 800 MHz Radio Project
The Adams County Department of Emergency Services is in the design phase of a new 800 MHz County-Wide Trunked Radio System, to be used for 9-1-1 Call-Taking and Radio Dispatch, and used by Police, Fire and EMS, as well as other Government Agencies within the County.
The primary purpose of the project is to establish a common “backbone” network consisting of dispatch equipment and radio sites that all users can use to communicate with dispatch and each other. The new system will be modern and reliable, and will be designed to grow with the County.
A set of Frequently Asked Questions has been put together to try to answer many of the common questions posed, and to provide basic information about the new system and what it will mean to you.
