Update on Domestic Violence Services -
from Safe Home Director Michelle Shae

YWCA Hanover was awarded the PCADV funding for domestic violence services on September 4, 2019.  We have secured a location and our offices will be at 18 Carlisle Street, Suite 201 in Gettysburg (the former Survivors Administration offices) as of 10/1/19.  The DV hotline number will be 717-632-0007 and we are currently in the process of hiring 3 advocate positions and one coordinator and expect to be able to add to that in the near future if needed.
Our services will include 24 hour 365 day hotline, Options planning, safety planning, accompaniment, PFA assistance, emergency temporary shelter (hotel or transport to surrounding area shelters), counseling services for both client and children, goal planning, transitional housing and relocation services and substance abuse treatment for DV clients,  support groups; as well as prevention and outreach.
There are many meetings scheduled already with Adams County partners and stakeholders for the month of October and if anyone would like to reach me before the Gettysburg office is open they can reach me at the contact information below.
