The Pennsylvania Floodplain Management Act (Act 166 of 1978) requires that all municipalities enact and enforce an ordinance to meet the requirements of the Pennsylvania Floodplain Management Act and the National Flood Insurance Program. 

What We Do:

The Adams County Conservation District maintains a hard copy library of publications, fact sheets, and technical bulletins.  These are available free of charge to any Adams County municipality or resident.

Maps & Resources  

Adams County Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) are available for viewing in the Conservation District office.  Copies of maps can be obtained from FEMA free of charge through the Conservation District.

“FIRMettes”, or smaller versions of the FIRM maps, are available free of charge from FEMA's Map Service Center. Other flood planning and recovery information can be found at FEMA.
